Carol Warui is a Strategic Communications and Public Affairs leader with over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of business, public policy, reputation management, and social impact across Africa and global markets. She is recognised for her work supporting purpose-driven organisations in navigating complex, governance-intensive, and policy-sensitive environments.

Carol has built a career spanning strategic communications, public affairs, and institutional reputation, advising organizations across the public, private, and development sectors. Her work focuses on aligning organizational strategy with credible stakeholder engagement, particularly in contexts shaped by regulatory scrutiny, public accountability, and social expectations.

Her areas of expertise include communications strategy, public affairs, ESG and sustainability narratives, executive positioning, thought leadership, and crisis preparedness.

Carol is the Founder and Lead Consultant of The CWP Ltd, a strategic communications and public affairs advisory firm. Through the firm, she partners with boards, CEOs, and senior leadership teams to clarify strategy, strengthen institutional reputation, and navigate complexity with credibility and impact. The CWP Ltd works with purpose-driven organizations seeking to build trust, influence policy outcomes, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Carol brings a strong governance and public policy perspective through active board and leadership service. She currently serves on the Board of African Collab and the National Youth Council of Kenya, where she contributes to strategic oversight, policy engagement, and ecosystem development for youth-led sectors.

She recently completed her term as a Board Member of the Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation, supporting governance, advocacy, and visibility for emergency healthcare systems in Kenya.

Carol also serves as a Board Member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), where she contributes to advancing professional standards within the global communications practice.

In addition to her board roles, Carol is the Co-Chair of 50/50 Women on Boards (WOB), African Chapter.
